The weekly review is a concept I originally learned from David Allen’s Getting Things Done. While I recommend all of his teachings, I found the weekly review concept to be particularly helpful for preventing procrastination. It’s a simple process. Once a week (I prefer Sundays), look at the next seven days and schedule the activities/projects you’d like to accomplish. In addition, process all the notes from your idea capture mechanism and process any new paperwork.
